What to Expect

During our initial session, which may last up to 90 minutes, we will discuss your history and any health-related concerns or goals that you have, as well as how each area of your life may be impacting your health. We will use this as an opportunity to learn more about your priorities, strengths, motivators, and challenges, and clarify your vision of a "healthy you." We will get really clear on what changes you want to make and establish long and short term goals. Since this is a big task, you may be asked to complete some written exercises or fill out some questionnaires before or after this session in order to help us both to be as productive as possible. This is the beginning of your journey, so we will also set some goals for the next session based on your current stage of change!

During subsequent sessions that may take up to 45 minutes, we will review each goal, celebrate your successes, and discuss any obstacles or challenges that may have arisen. Together, we will identify future obstacles and brainstorm solutions, focusing on your strengths, support systems, and sources of motivation. We will address any concerns that have come up and then set goals for the next session, again, appropriate for the stage of change that you are in.

The Process

Because lasting change happens over time, I generally recommend a weekly commitment for a period of 3 months. This is really the minimum amount of time that it takes to break old habits and to establish new ones. Keeping in mind, however, that everyone has different needs, I only strongly suggest but do not require a 3-month commitment. We can design a plan that best meets your needs. If you are local, our meetings may take place in my office, over the phone or Skype, or in some situations, I can come to you. If you are not local we can still work together via telephone or Skype which can work just as well.

Health Coaching Fees:

  • Initial Session (up to 90 minutes): $85.00
  • Subsequent Sessions (up to 45 minutes): $60.00
  • Package of 6 Sessions (includes initial "Discovery Session"): $370.00
  • Commitment of Weekly Sessions for 3 Months: $715.00
  • Packages must be paid for at the time the agreement is made. Individual sessions must be paid for at the time services are rendered.
